Ruby Marris Scholarship Fundraiser!

On Sunday the 17th of July there was a concert. I got asked to play the part of the grand high witch from the Witches by Roald Dahl. We got to use the head set, microphone and we got to have a spot light on us too! In the photo I am beside Sophie Marris, she was playing the part of granny!

Saying Goodbye to Mrs Jackson our Principal and Getting a Principal Award!

On Friday the 8th of July (last day of term 2!), we said goodbye to Mrs Jackson our principal, who was leaving and going to Australia. Mrs Jackson was a great principal and we will miss her very much! She also gave out the last principal awards too. Peta and I both got the last two for "setting up the hall respectfully!" We also got a free Subway voucher with it!

Speech Competitions

On the 20-22 of May I had the Oamaru Speech Competitions! I participated in 6 events! I got one 2nd, three Very Highly Commended and 2 Commended! It was very fun and it was worth the practice!

PB's And In The News Paper Again For Swimming!

Sunday the 3rd of July was the Oamaru Swim Meet! I got two PB's (Personal Bests!) The blue one is for 100m IM and the purple one was for 200m Breaststroke! I also got a DQ (Disqualification) in 50m Butterfly!

I was also in the paper for the Oamaru Swim Meet for getting a great PB! I took 10 seconds off my 200m Breaststroke! (In swimming 10 seconds is a lot!)

Film Makers Awards!

I was part of the film club! We got to make a movie and then it went away to get judged against other schools. St Josephs came 2nd! Cameron Mather got best actor, and I got nominated for best actress!

Light And Color For Science

For light and color, Aria and I we used mirrors and a marble. We put the mirrors in a cube shape then we put the marble in the middle. This made it look like thousands of marbles.

Expecto Patronum (Narrative)

Expecto Patronum! The green light streamed across the forest. “Go, to your destination!” snapped Snape. The sparkling silver doe sped into the darkness of the forest. It was as quiet as a mouse;it weaved in and out of the giant trees. The light shone bright as the moon, it galloped at lightning speed, suddenly stopping as it came to a clearing of a meadow, full of daisies and luscious green grass. He playfully leaped through the meadow, and then he approached the dense part of the forest.

The was a winding path, but in the way was a hooded black finger, who stopped the doe. The large black finger looked just like a hand, with a finger pointed-his nails were as sharp as a knife (all you could see was the nail). The long black cloak trailed behind it like a sinister mist.

“What are YOU doing?” said the voice under the cloak. The doe tried to get past but he couldn’t, the way was blocked by the evil finger “Who are you looking for?” said the hooded finger. The doe, who could not speak projected an image of Harry Potter. “Very, Very Interesting;I know where he is, follow me”, the finger whispered in a barely audible voice.

The doe projected a question mark. “Why are you unsure?” breathed the finger. The doe sprinted away, off the track and into the distance...
